![]() Adoptable Dolls ![]() { base } I had this doll sitting around for so long, fully shaded, but I just couldn't decide on the colors. I'm still not totally happy with them (sometimes I hate picking colors) but apart from the colors I think it's mostly cute, so here it is. Yes I recycled the background :\ ![]() { base } Tuvok, THE BLACK VULCAN!, from Star Trek: Voyager. Really like this doll for some reason, maybe it's the skin palette. ![]() { base } Seven of Nine, also from Voyager. Love her! OK geeky confession: I want to dress as her for Halloween next year :3 ![]() { base } This one started off as a doll based on an opal (hence the skin), and ended up a Rudy-Rucker-esque '70s pulp sci-fi babe. Not gonna lie, I love plain B+W anti-aliased together! Though I should have done another level of AA. ![]() { base } I was inspired to do this doll by Blossom's lovely avs on this base, I used her hair tutorial for a fun departure from my normal style. I think it turned out appealing, though I don't look that childish in reality! ![]() { base } Part of a collab (click to see full collab; I designed the paneling stuff behind) with Lorraine, Amy-Lynn, and Steph. The theme was murdering flappers, so here is my dame toting a derringer. ![]() { base } Part of a collab (click to see full collab; balcony by me) with my sis Lorraine, the theme was sexy Disney princesses. This is Belle, being the classy to Aurora's trashy ;) I KID! ![]() { base } Doll of myself for the WTM forum group picture. Hopefully representing some dubious improvement over last year's. ![]() { base } I did this doll of Pink, the Pink Blush forum mascot, as part of an activity there. Snore, nothing special. ![]() { base } Portrait of the character below. The moon is a color-reduced photo. Even though this is a really pretty base, I have seen so many terrible dolls on it, it will never be the same to me :\ ![]() { base } A character I made up, theoretically for an RPG. The thing on her face is a Gorbachev-style (haha) birthmark, the thing on her body is a sideless surcote. ![]() { base } Another one of me, because I am narcissistic like that. Background is a color-reduced photo. The point of this doll is a long story, but suffice it to say that I think the Ivy League is a bunch of whited sepulchers. ![]() { base } A doll of the Pink Blush forum mascot, Pink, for a contest there. The idea was to give her a new look. Well, this is definitely a new one for Pink. ![]() { base } A doll of me as the Assyrian goddess Ishtar (yes, like the Ishtar Gate). Why? I don't know, but it's totally awesome. Base is a Pink Blush forum exclusive. ![]() { base } Doll of me (which doesn't look like me because I have longer hair than that) for the Pink Blush grand opening collab. The premise was a cocktail party; I've never been to a cocktail party (SHAME!) but apparently I think it is approximately the same as the 1939 World's Fair? ![]() { base } Extremely boring re-do of a previous doll, in order to make it go as an av with the doll above. I thought it was worth posting just for the intense necklace, though. ![]() { base } Likenesses of my best friend. They don't do justice to his adorableness, but it's a start. I did a corresponding female face, so I may give them torsos and release as bases. ![]() { base } A couple of calypso players, much inspired by the great Mighty Sparrow. I love calypso! ![]() { base } Portrait to go with the doll below, because I felt the need for a new av/sig set. The stars around her head are the constellation Scorpio. ![]() { base } Scorpio doll (my star sign, NOT that I believe in astrology thanks). Note the chitinous dress. ![]() { base } UNFINISHED! I started this doll for the Miss Doll Europe contest, but then realized that I would have to use the same full-body base for three other dolls, which would not be very practical. My inspiration promptly died. But it's almost done and I like it so far, so here it is, until I finish it (if ever). ![]() { base } Random Elegant Gothic Lolita princess, from rather long ago. I never could get the background to turn out quite right, but I kind of like her anyway. ![]() { base outline } George W. Bush as a Tokyo (er, Washington?) Mew Mew. Look, he's even doing the cat-paw gesture with his left hand! The mouse is supposed to be saying "Jorujo Myu Myu" even though I freely admit I do not know Japanese and just copied it off Wikipedia. Bush caricature head is by me. p.s. I don't even dislike Bush (though he does spend my money as though he's got into the catnip), I just like dressing up politicians as catgirls. ![]() { base } For a collaboration at WTM?! I love this base :D ![]() { base } Jack Aubrey, of Patrick O'Brian's seafaring novel series, playing the violin and thinking on his fiancee, Sophie. ![]() { base } This is me after a ton of midterms and problem sets. Alternatively if you read the t-shirt as saying "WAR" instead of the intented "WPR", this is me after nuking the entirety of Europe. Yes, I am a mad scientist in training. ![]() { base } Awwwwww yeah. Dita von Teese style. ![]() ![]() { base } Back to school! Testing out some textures & dithers. ![]() { base } Retro style avatar. *sigh* Nostalgia for L.A.! Vaguely inspired by the style of Shag. { base } Muffin, the WTM mascot, as a pixel princess. Fear her ability to generate muffins spontaneously from an oven! { base } The original "pixel princess" design. ![]() { base } Yay :D I use these as an av and sig. I think they came out great. But then I was very inspired in making them. ![]() { base } Also yay! ![]() { base } A little doll of myself for the WTM group shot. I think the outfit looks like a medieval person dressing up as an ancient Greek. ![]() { base } Myself in nautical-inspired clothing for a pageant at WTM. I really like the hair on these for some reason. ![]() { base } This just might be the only pre-Vatican-II-Catholic themed doll in the entire world. For a contest. ![]() { base } A random gal in a Star Trek outfit. I've just gotten into Star Trek. ![]() { base } Avatar for Tequila Sunrise forums. The hair shading on this one utterly stumped me, and the glasses look nothing like mine. ![]() { base } For a base edit contest. I did not understand the concept of a base edit contest and spent all this time turning him into a boy and editing his face, etc. Then I saw that the entries were all actual dolls x_x so I slapped some hair on them, but by the time I'd gone and made him a boy I didn't really want to put clothes on him, so I gave them both lame swimsuits. Well, at least the sand is good. Needless to say I did not win anything. ![]() { base } Agatha Heterodyne, spunky heroine of my favorite comic, Girl Genius. I now hate everything except the blouse, but Agatha is such a great character, it had to be finished. ![]() { base } Self-portrait on my first ever base. The hair outline is especially awful and the shorts are bad too, but I was pretty proud of the face I made for this base. ![]() { base } One of my first ones, but I still like it. I found this hair palette kind of by accident and then became addicted to it for a while. I still love ultra-contrasty palettes like this. ![]() © 2006-2008 Nimue ![]() |
